Senga farmhouse, born in the heart of the Padana plain, is halfway between Mantua and Sabbioneta, a medieval subborg with high cultural and artistical level. The company has a surface of 20 ectares which are cultivated with cereals, orchards and vegetables; moreover, bullocks and low-courtyard animals are breeded. It is possible to taste home cooking inner its completely renovated farmstead in winter time, and under the arcades in summer time.
The lady of the house carefully cooks the typical dishes of the mantuan tradition like agnoli soup, tortelli with pumpkin, taglietelle with stock duck, hand pressed bigoli, mixed roasts, boned chicken, stew; many are also sweets: nut cake, pumpkin pie, coffee cake and "sbrisolona" (a traditional Mantua cake) gives you taste and flavour typical in the past.
All dishes are made by using beef, vegetables and fruits of our farm.
At the company it is possible to buy hand made products like pickled vegetables, aubergines in oil and many mustard seeds (pear mustard seed, apple mustard seed, green tomato mustard seed, pumpkin and apple mustard seed).
Thanks to our location, we are able to offer cooperation by programming tour in Mantua and surroundings, lunching to the farmhouse and giving hospitality to groups and parties.
